Golf PinPilot
This policy explains what Golf PinPilot (“the app”) collects, why, and your choices. Questions? Contact us at pinpilot@hotmail.com.
• Account details: when you sign in with Apple or Google we receive your name and email address. You also provide a username, and optionally your handicap and home club.
• Location: with your permission, your GPS location is used to measure distances to the green and to fetch local weather. It is processed to provide these features and is not sold or used for advertising.
• Camera, microphone and photo library: with your permission, the app records short video clips of your shots and can save them to your library. Clips are stored on your device and in your account.
• Gameplay data: rounds, scores, completed-round history, friends and in-app notifications.
We use your data only to provide the app: GPS distances, weather, statistics, saving your rounds and clips, and multiplayer rounds shared with players you invite.
• Supabase — hosts our backend and stores your account and gameplay data.
• Apple and Google — used for sign-in.
• SMHI (Swedish courses) and Open-Meteo (international) — your coordinates are sent to retrieve a weather forecast.
We do not show advertising, we do not use third-party tracking, and we never sell your data.
Your data is kept while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. This erases your profile, rounds, friends and clips. Course corrections you contributed to the community are kept but anonymised (no longer linked to you).
Subject to applicable law (including the EU GDPR), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. The quickest way to delete everything is the in-app Delete account option. For other requests, email us.
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date below.
